COBALT

Blessing & Inauguration Ceremony

Project Summary

COBALT’s first aircraft blessing and inauguration ceremony was held on Monday the 30th of May, at Larnaca International Airport, marking the renaissance of  the Cypriot aviation industry.

The ceremony took place two weeks after the Department of Civil Aviation issued COBALT’s Air Operator Certificate, in the presence of the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, Mr. Marios Demetriades, and his Beatitude the Archbishop of Nova Justiniana and All Cyprus Chrysostomos II.  A reception then followed the ceremony for a selected group of guests, including key people from Cyprus’ political, business and media circles.

The blessing and inauguration ceremony was held two days before COBALT’s first scheduled flight from Larnaca to Athens and will mark the airline’s official launch of operations.
